We are expanding our team and looking for a suitable candidate to join our workforce in the position of a saw operator. Knowledge of the German language is a requirement if there are multiple candidates.
As a company, we have various projects in different locations, mainly in Germany, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Italy. Most of our job offers are for self-employed individuals, but we also have opportunities for permanent employment.
Number of working hours: Individual, typically working 10 hours a day with the option to work on Saturdays for 6-10 hours. It is possible to work up to 60 hours per week.
Job Description:
A saw operator is responsible for operating and managing cutting equipment, primarily on sawing machines. The saw operator performs various tasks related to cutting, specifically in metal or other materials. The job description of a saw operator includes working in the field of material processing and surface finishing. The work of a saw operator can be physically demanding and requires expertise and skill in using cutting tools and machinery. It is an important role in manufacturing because quality cutting and material processing are crucial for achieving the desired shapes and dimensions of fabricated parts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Operation of manual/automated saws and cutting materials according to specified requirements
- Ongoing quality control and dimensional checks of cut pieces
- Routine maintenance of the saw, replacement of worn parts, and machine servicing
- Adherence to workplace safety and specific work regulations
Personal Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a saw operator
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Time flexibility and willingness to travel (shift work)
- Manual dexterity, independence, and precision in work
- Knowledge of the German language is a requirement for at least one candidate in the team (minimum working proficiency, at least B1 level).
